ANTIOCH — Gunfire late Thursday night killed two people and sent two others to a hospital, one a teenager, police said.

Officers responded to the area of D Street and W. 19th Street about 10:20 p.m. and found four people down with gunshot wounds, according to a statement from Antioch police.
A 34-year-old man and 42-year-old man died at the scene, police said. Authorities did not identify them immediately early Friday, pending the investigation and notification of relatives.
A 36-year-old man and 15-year-old boy were taken by ambulance to a hospital, where they remained Friday morning. The teenager remained in critical condition, while the older man was in stable condition, police said.
The homicide investigations are the fourth and fifth this year in the city of Antioch.
No other information was available immediately. Crime Scene Investigators and Violent Crimes Unit detectives were probing the shootings.
