San Ramon: Restaurant deals week at Bishop Ranch

Dining deals. A cocktail competition. A 12-winery tasting event.

San Ramon’s upscale City Center Bishop Ranch is holding an extended restaurant week promotion this month to give local diners a chance to revisit their favorites or discover new faves.

The “Taste of City Center” runs from Friday, Sept. 19, through Sunday, Sept. 28. More than 20 restaurants and food purveyors are offering deals or special dishes  — from casual eateries to upscale dining palaces.

Among the participants: Alora Social, Bamboo Sushi, Delarosa, Fieldwork Brewing, Khaki, LB Steak, Mendocino Farms, MIXT, Ramen Hiroshi, Roam Burgers, Slanted Door, Social Affair, World Wrapps and Zentrl Kitchen & Bar. (See below for details on deals.)

Sweets and beverage purveyors Gio Gelati, Joe & the Juice, Miette and Salt & Straw are also offering specials.

Highlighting the first weekend will be the center’s first-ever Cocktail Competition, with bartenders from Bishop Ranch restaurants trying to out-create each other. From 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, guests can watch while enjoying cocktails and bites.
