Chelsea battles Liverpool in Premier League action on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9:30 a.m. PDT.
Liverpool sits at the top of the Premier League table, but has lost its two most recent matches: Against Galatasaray in the crazy first phase of the Champions League tournament (which, as you might remember, is not based on groups anymore), and vs. Crystal Palace, which defeated the current PL champions 2-1.
Chelsea’s amazing summer saw the West London club raise the first Club World Cup trophy on U.S. soil. The PL is a different matter. Chelsea has accumulated a paltry eight points out of six matches, with a mediocre two wins, two draws and two losses.
While neither of these teams is at the peak of their capabilities, it still presents a good opportunity to see the best of British club football.
