San Jose: For one night, chef from Draymond Green’s restaurant joins Eos & Nyx

As part of a chef’s collaboration between San Jose’s Eos & Nyx and San Francisco’s Meski restaurants, noted Dominican/Ethiopian cuisine specialist Nelson German will join the South Bay restaurant for a special dinner tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 7.

German will head to chef Nicko Moulinos’ Eos & Nyx kitchen to prepare a menu that features Coffee Berbere Beef Carpaccio ($21), Grilled Branzino Escabeche with sides ($38) and Cream Co. Bone Marrow ($26) with lamb tartare, collard green chimichurri and tzatziki. The signature cocktails are a nod to Nelson’s Caribbean roots and Moulinos’ Greek heritage.

All dishes are available a la carte.

At Meski, German has teamed up with owner and NBA star Draymond Green. He is also the chef-owner of Oakland’s alaMar Kitchen & Bar and the Afro-Latin cocktail lounge Sobre Mesa,

The menu will be offered from 5 to 10 p.m. at 201 S. Second St., San Jose. Reservations are available (www.opentable.com/r/eos-and-nyx-san-jose) and walk-in diners are also welcome.
