Brian Lee Utt, 64, of Bay Point, died after being taken by ambulance to a hospital following the attack. Deputies responded to a residence on Solano Court about 11:25 a.m. Thursday and found Utt bleeding from more than one stab wound.

Deputies arrested Libelyn Utt, 57, of Bay Point, at the scene. The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office has charged her with murder with the special allegation that she used a deadly weapon to commit the crime, according to court records.

Utt had been scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, but the arraignment was pushed back to Nov. 10, court records stated. She remained in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility in lieu of $1.03 million.
