The 59,124-square-foot space will offer a digital media center, a TV and recording studio, a library and more. The school will name the new space — which is set to open in January 2026 — the Wang and Qu Family Learning Resource Commons in recognition of the donation.

SUSD enrollment opens

Priority registration opened on Feb. 3 for families within the Saratoga Union School District’s boundaries looking to enroll their children for the 2025-26 academic year.

New families who are moving into the district and don’t yet have proof of residency can register starting March 1, according to a release from the district. The district has also expanded the age range for transitional kindergarten; students born between Sept. 2, 2020 and Sept. 1, 2021 are now eligible. Students born between Sept. 2, 2019 and Sept. 1, 2020 will be placed in kindergarten. Visit dsaratogausd.org/families/enrollment-registrar to learn more.

Trustee wanted

After former trustee Alex Shultz’s resignation last month, the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District is looking to fill his seat by appointment.

The district is accepting applications through Feb. 28 at 4:30 p.m., and the district’s board of trustees will interview candidates during a special meeting on March. 11. Candidates must be age 18 or older, live within the district’s boundaries and be registered to vote.

Visit lgsuhsd.org/about-us/board-of-trustees/open-board-member-position, to download an application, or pick up an application in person from the district office at 17421 Farley Road West in Los Gatos.

Applications can either be submitted online or in person. Applicants can contact Tricia Zarevich at 408-354-5980 or [email protected] to schedule an appointment for in-person submission.
