ANTIOCH — A shooting sent a person to a hospital Wednesday night, police said.

Police still were searching for a suspect and did not identify anyone publicly. The shooting happened at Claudia Court and L Street, according to Antioch police Lt. Bill Whitaker.
Officers were called to the area about 8 p.m., and found a person wounded. Whitaker said that person had at least one gunshot wound and was treated at the scene. An ambulance then took the person to a hospital.
Police expect the person to survive.
Whitaker said police believe the shooting was an isolated incident and that there was no danger to the surrounding community.
