Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Isabelle Agnost, Acalanes flag football

Acalanes flag football player Isabelle Agnost is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Oct. 27-Nov. 1.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Agnost had 56.7% of the vote. Homestead water polo player Sofia Tedesco finished second at 29.6% and College Park water polo player Sam Winter was third.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Agnost carried 15 times for 186 yards and three touchdowns, including two runs of over 40 yards, as Acalanes beat Montgomery 56-6 in the first round of the North Coast Section playoffs. Against Campolindo in the NCS quarterfinals, she carried 16 times for 94 yards and two scores as Acalanes won 19-0.
