Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Ze’Ni Patterson, Archbishop Mitty basketball

Archbishop Mitty girls basketball player Ze’Ni Patterson is the Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week for Feb. 24 to Mar. 1.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Patterson finished with 37.47% of the votes. Prospect basketball player Sadie Slaughter took second with 29.66% and Monte Vista soccer player Amanda Kayari was third.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

The sophomore scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed three rebounds as Archbishop Mitty defeated Pinewood in the CCS Open Division championship game. She also nabbed three steals.
